Who We Are

The Whosoever Better Life Fund-Foundation (WBLF) is comprised of individuals whose lives and families have been traumatically and tragically affected by substance misuse and disorders. Yet, we are a family whose lives have been profoundly changed and made better. We reject the notion that anyone is a lost cause. Through all of our endeavors, we strive to display the conviction behind our beliefs.

What We Do

We partner with organizations and community led-efforts, projects and programs that advocate substance use prevention and offer initiatives for intervention and recovery for individuals challenged by substance use disorders — Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco (DAT).

Prevention Partner

We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts to support and promote substance use prevention to foster wellness and healthier lifestyles. Through cooperation and community empowerment, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and get involved.

Holding Hands

Intervention Partner

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to assist initiatives to find new intervention strategies, which is a real challenge that we take very seriously. Early intervention can reduce the impact of substance use and mental disorders in America's communities.

Reaching Out to the Sun

Recovery Partner

Our goal is to assist with initiatives and see lives changed and made better. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Recovery is near and dear to our heart because it can mean life or death for someone impacted or struggling.

Education

This is one of the simplest, yet most significant and efficient way to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be impactful is for the community to actively get involved through prayer. We suggest reaching out to your local Church or to WBLF for prayer guidance. Also, you may consider connecting with people around the nation for collective prayer on the National Day of Prayer.

Substance disorder is a serious, life-threatening epidemic, rising dramatically around the country. These trends have carried over into all parts of society, from the boardroom to the classroom to the church house, impacting both working professionals, students and churchgoers alike.

Recent studies conducted by the CDC indicate that over 24.6 million Americans over the age of 12 admitted to using an illegal substance within the last month. With statistics like these surging, and the number of active substance users expanding exponentially, it is more important than ever to begin working to address this issue through education, first and foremost. Education can have a significant impact on individuals and aid in the battle against substance use disorders.

Partnership

Mentoring can have a lasting and positive impact especially among adolescents and emerging adults and people in recovery. The ability to cope with stressors and a sense of purpose in life has been linked to positive health and psychological outcomes. Researchers have found that a lower sense of life purpose may contribute to increased alcohol, cigarette, and marijuana use.

Mentors can help youths become empowered and equipped with the skills to respond to situations of peer pressure. Also, many times, mentors operate as the go-to for any type of struggle people are having during recovery.  By having someone to talk to when they are facing difficulty, they may be able to work through their problems more fully—potentially avoiding the risk of drug or alcohol relapse.

Together with many organizations and supporters, WBLF is helping lives get better. We encourage you to get involved to support drugs, alcohol and tobacco free life by establishing partnership with an organization of your choosing.
WBLF takes pride in supporting events and funding projects or programs. We are confident that our resources make a difference because we are engaged with those we support. If you choose to support through WBLF, please select the donation or get in touch tab.
